Universal Music South East Asia will establish a regional business development unit in its Singapore office to diversify beyond its core business of signing and developing artists. "This specialised team will focus on opportunities with partners not just in Singapore but throughout the region," said the company's President for South East Asia Sandy Monteiro. Universal Music presently has partnerships with Nokia, HP and Singtel in South East Asia. The new business unit, together with existing operations like marketing and sales, is housed in a new office three times bigger than the previous one.
