Asia's unprecedented economic growth and evolving human capital has created a diverse emerging market for business opportunities here. As such, new skills will have to be acquired as the nature of work evolves due to factors like globalisation, technology advancements and demographical changes. Successful business leaders will need to identify and understand these forces of change, and gain new insights on how to maximise the potential of their human capital.

According to Professor Lynda Gratton, Professor of Management Practice at the London Business School, there are five broad forces that will change the future of work in Asia - globalisation, technological development, demographics, societal trends, and the era of low carbon. With these five forces put together, there will be a profound impact on Asia's human capital as organisations face new challenges. Challenges include open innovation, inter-generational cohesion, and collaborating and cooperating virtually. Professor Lynda Gratton will be presenting her cutting-edge research in greater detail at the Singapore Human Capital Summit 2011.
