  • Singapore’s infocomms industry saw its revenues grow 13.8 per cent  in 2007 to reach S$51.7 billion. Some $7.2 billion came from the telecommunications sector.

  • As at June 2008, Singapore’s fixed line household penetration rate stood at 95.3per cent. Mobile penetration was 134.2 per cent while household broadband penetration was 86.8 per cent. 

  • Singapore is a global transcable hub with a total submarine cable capacity of 28 Tbps and direct international Internet connectivity of 25 Gbps.
